Student life

Heralded as the ‘most walkable city’, it is easy to explore Madison. Enjoy a beer at the student union, visit its vast farmers’ market or go to a music festival - it has more than any other state. There are over 800 clubs and organizations to join on campus, as well as many sporting events including football and basketball.

Nature

Situated on an isthmus (a narrow section of land between several lakes), Madison is surrounded by water and just a short hop from rural countryside. Watersports abound from sailing in the summer to ice fishing in the winter, or explore inland - hiking, biking or cross-country skiing.

Culture
